ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Be responsible for the control and safety of the well operation and be fully prepared to safely deal with the outcome of any part of the implementation of the programme.

– Be satisfied that the operating units, equipment, services and personnel involved in the execution of the programme are competent to undertake theprogramme.
– Ensure that contractors are competent, to carry out operations safely and consistent with accepted good practices and procedures.
– Oversee the implementation of approved programmes to meet defined objectives, using approved procedures and work instructions and complying with statutory requirements.
– Monitor and report the performance of relevant contractors and ancillary support services associated with the well operation.
– Facilitate Risk Assessments to evaluate and mitigate risks associated with well operations.
