Course Description
This course has an intensive introduction to the techniques of experimental chemistry; it gives the participants an opportunity to learn and master the basic chemistry lab techniques for carrying out experiments as well as the basic principles of modern analytical instruments. Proper calibration and verification techniques for each instrument will also be described. The course provides information about physical and health hazards present within a laboratory and explains safe lab practices to minimize the risk of spills and chemical or biological exposure.
