Pre-course Activity

Participants will be asked to prepare for the course by identifying real work issues where they are stuck, bored with the current answers or have a desire to find alternatives and new ways of working. They will then use these examples to apply the techniques and skills learnt on the day to plan and rehearse how best to work towards a resolution.

What will it cover?

Innovation is scary because it means leaving behind what you know, however unsatisfactory that may be, and taking a risky journey into the unknown. Having an innovation programme means that you will have:

A map to use for guiding you on your journey – helping you to make informed choices and reducing the risk of losing your way.
The tools for creative problem solving – giving you the capability to bring together diverse groups in order to get fresh ideas and take them to action.
A shared language for talking about uncertainty and risk – helping you to communicate in those areas where you don’t know the answers so that you can create clear plans to take the organisation forwards.
A process for taking new ideas to market quickly – beating the competition.
